After graduating from Tusculum College with a degree in Sports Management, he spent 6 years in Nashville working for the Tennessee Golf Foundation. Cody’s experience is in junior golf instruction. In Nashville he spent most of his time developing and teaching junior clinics and operating the Tennessee PGA Junior Golf Academy. Cody has been involved in two “The First Tee National Academies” and three “Ace & Eagle Golf Academies” which were held at Golf House Tennessee. Upon returning to the Tri-Cities, Cody earned his Class A PGA membership and is a four-time winner of the Growth of the Game award for the Tri-Cites PGA chapter.
Following a nine-year career in stock car racing, Adam found interest in the game of golf after participating in a charity tournament. He began working for Clear Creek Golf Club in 2006, and earned his Class-A PGA Membership in 2011. Adam became Program Director for The First Tee of Tri-Cities in 2014. He is a three-time Assistant Professional of the Year, three-time winner of the Youth Player Development award, and two-time Teacher of the Year for the Tri-Cities Chapter of the Tennessee Section PGA.
As a life-long golfer, Jenny has dedicated the past decade to teaching others how to play this wonderful sport. She received her professional teaching credentials from the United States Golf Teaching Federation in 2006, and became a recognized coach for The First Tee in 2015. She focuses her instruction toward helping adults and youth understand and demonstrate the fundamentals of the swing. Jenny is committed to helping each student realize their potential, with the hope of creating more life-long golfers.
Larry is a Greeneville, TN native and spent his youth in a family shoe repair/leather business. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years, retiring in 1989. After retirement, Larry returned to the family shoe repair business until 1991 when he enrolled in college and graduated from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Human Resources Management. Since 1998, he has been an active volunteer with the American Sheltand Sheepdog Association rescue effort. Larry brings 18 years experience in the golf industry to The First Tee, and has been actively involved in Junior Golf programs since 2010.
Growing up in the Greeneville area, Sasha is a graduate of Tusculum College, and a former member of the Tusculum golf team. Throughout his career, he has earned several awards and honors for his accomplishments in the game. Competing at the TSSAA state golf tournament in all four years of High School, Sasha is a two-time All-State award winner, and a three-time SAC First Team competitor. After college, he continued to pursue his passion for the game on the Carolina Mountain Tour, where he earned two top-10 finishes. Sasha is a Hank Haney certified instructor, joining the First Tee of Tri-Cities staff in 2015.
Originally an Army Brat from North Carolina, Chris grew up in ten different states and two countries. That lifestyle created an open and outgoing personality which has translated directly to his coaching style. Chris was introduced to the sport when he caddied for his uncle at the age of 14, immediately finding passion for the game of golf. A self taught player, Chris competed in a number of mini tours early in his career, facing the likes of Boo Weekley and Bubba Watson while in Florida. Currently a Level 3 apprentice, Chris is pursuing his PGA membership and was awarded the 2016 Tri-Cities Assistant Golf Professional of the Year.
Because of the encouragement of her parents, Patty tried the game of golf at the age of 14 while attending a junior golf program much like The First Tee. Boy is she glad she did! Patty credits the game of golf for a college education and eventually the career passion of teaching others how to play this great game. Patty’s time spent playing professionally on the Symetra Tour proved to be a valuable experience, making her the teacher she is today. Patty spent over twelve years as an Assistant Golf Professional in southwest Florida before moving to Kingsport in 2014. She is currently a Class-A PGA Teaching Professional at Ridgefields CC.
